Rooibos is widely used as an herbal tea for enhancing well-being, supporting the immune system and combating stress.

During stress, characterised by anxiety, sleeplessness and depression, there is an increased production of stress hormones. Current research is underway to validate the anti-stress potential of Rooibos. These studies focus on the influence of Rooibos on lowering the production of cortisol – the “stress hormone” – in the body, thereby lowering the effect of the body’s stress response.
